Traffic Exchange REVIEW _ TE Command Post - MUST READ!!

I can't recommend this site highly enough. Really. For all they do for their free members - the upgrades are even better!

TE Command Post is a great place to stay organized, earn lots of extra perks at your favorite exchanges and promote your favorites!

I joined last year and have had a great time there. They offer lots to do, and a number of great services to help out those of us that are using traffic exchanges.

What They Offer Free Members

I have not upgraded here, but it is on my list of things to do in the spring. Since I am a member of so many different exchanges, the upgraded option can only help me keep organized and up to date!

As a free member, I can list my top 10 traffic exchanges. I can also put my credentials into their down-line builder so that I can earn referrals to those exchanges.

TEC keeps track of all of my unassigned credits at every exchange I list. This alone is a huge benefit – I found that I had 1900 credits (just in time for Christmas advertising!), and got them all set up.

Had I not been a member here, those credits would have languished until I went to each individual exchange – and hopefully – had looked rather than just surfed.

They also have this glorious little program called Commando Surf – which I use nearly every time I surf exchanges...

Basically, you surf the four core exchanges, and they offer a fifth site that you may or may not already be a member of. You normally get a 10% surf bonus at each exchange – but sometimes its 35% at one or more of them.

You have the option of surfing the four core exchanges only, or all five – and you can join through a link right on the Commando Surf page! Once you've completed the process, the site gives you the option of opening every exchange listed all through the site at one time.

Of course, to surf, you still have to get past the offers and promo pages at each site, but just doing it through TEC saves a ton of time – and it gets you the extra bonus, too!

TEC already has listed nearly every traffic exchange I've ever heard of and then some, so all you have to do to find them is use their search function, and you're off to the races.

Other Considerations

Paul Kinder, one of the owners of TEC, is also part owner of Traffic Splash, Tezak Traffic Power and a couple other sites – so he's been around a while and knows how to put together a really kick butt service.

There is a 5 step (6 if upgraded) tutorial on using the TEC to full advantage right on the member's home page. Its super simple, and they (Paul and Scott) walk you through everything.

You can also keep track of all your banner and text ad credits at your exchanges through TEC... but in order to show your banners and text links here, you have to upgrade.

There are lots of promotional tools here – including one I absolutely adore. There is a splash page you can create for TEC that allows you to show your top exchanges, too – which means that people who click through will be seeing TEC AND your top exchanges so they can join them all in one place through your personal link, too!!!

Upgrade Options

They have an upgrade button on the left nav bar, and the options are laid out in a really simple chart for you. Obviously, of the two upgrade options, the gold is the better deal, but for most of us, the silver upgrade is the way to go when first using an upgraded service here.

Its hard to keep track of more than 20 or so exchanges – even if you're upgraded at most of them and don't have to surf anymore.

The other really great benefit to upgrading is that you have several levels of referrals you can capitalize on. As a free member, only your direct referrals earn you benefits, but it goes up to 6 levels deep at the gold member level! That's a LOT of credits and possible cash.

The prices for the silver and gold upgrades are more than reasonable if using exchanges is your main means of advertising – and well worth every penny.

GrannySue

Obviously – I'd really appreciate it (even though I am still a free member) if you would use my link to join this service. I'd be lost without this service – and you'll notice the benefits immediately, too!!
THANKS!!

Traffic Exchange REVIEW - Tezak Traffic Power

Tezak Traffic Power is a great site with a lot of nice promotions and one-time-offers for traffic specials. They've been around for quite a while, and are partnered with MANY different sites – including TE Command Post. They are one of the four core exchanges.

The site itself is pretty typical of other traffic exchanges, but – whether its true or not – the timer seems a bit faster than most other sites. It is on par in speed with Fast Easy Traffic.

Their bonus page is cute (though not quite as adorable as the Dragon Surf caves, lol), and no matter which of the three pics you click, you'll get a bonus.

Of course, just like at other exchanges, your credits can be converted to website views, text links, banner views, etc.

What They Offer Free Members

Tezak Traffic Power allows you to post up to 3 websites at a time as a free member, more of course for upgraded accounts. They allow the same number of banners and text links as well.

Their site is very similar to Traffic Splash and Dragon Surf, as well as others. They have different promos and different graphics, but are basically the same as the other really popular exchanges.

This exchange is listed at TE Command Post, and are a part of the Commando Surf.

They email so infrequently that I'm not sure I haven't opted out of emails from them altogether!
I'm gonna have to check that....

Other Considerations

Tezak Traffic Power is a great exchange if you need a lot of hits to your sites. They send good traffic, and lots of it.

They offer the same options as other top exchanges – plenty of banners, emails and splash pages to advertise, a down-line builder, bonuses, and promotions. While I have not upgraded at this site, it is one of those I would consider when the time comes that I don't have time to surf.

I do have to say that I like their promotional tools page better than many other sites – as there is a box to click on for each type of ad you'd like to post... Rather than having to scroll through endless emails, links and banners to get to a splash page, you click the box and the options are there.

Upgrade Options

Same benefits and prices as most of the other exchanges. The higher the upgrade, the more credits and higher commissions, and the fewer pages you have to surf to earn credits.

If you choose to join this exchange, please consider using my link - Thanks!

Traffic Exchange REVIEW - Fast Easy Traffic

Fast Easy Traffic is a plain but effective traffic exchange that gives you a quick timer, lots of bonus pages, and lots of traffic.

Its easy to understand and work with. Navigation is simple and straight-forward.

You do have to watch to catch those bonus pages, though – they are a bit “busier” looking than at other sites, and so easy to mistake for another ad. But, bonuses are generous and frequent.

Of course, just like at other exchanges, your credits can be converted to website views, text links, banner views, etc.

What They Offer Free Members

Fast Easy Traffic allows you to post up to 5 websites at a time as a free member, more of course for upgraded accounts. They allow the same number of banners and text links as well.

Navigation is a breeze because there aren't 25 different links down the side! These guys can tell you what you need to know without blasting all those different pages at you all the time. Makes for a slightly boring site, but is great for those of us that don't need all the bells and whistles.

This exchange is listed at TE Command Post, and are a part of the Commando Surf.

Emails are infrequent, but, the administration is responsive. Its just that there's not a lot to talk about that you haven't already read through one of the exchanges that sends out more frequent mailings.

I know that when this site sends me an email, I had better at least take a look at it. They don't bother unless its important.

Other Considerations

Fast Easy Traffic is just what it says it is. Its fast, and its easy. You surf, they send traffic, and that's about it. They have an average surf-to-credit ratio, and offer the same 10% to 35% extra for doing the Commando Surf.

There just isn't a lot to do here other than get tons of free traffic – but then that is what you join a traffic exchange for, right?!

Upgrade Options

Free members have a 3:1 ratio, 10% commission on upgraded referrals, and 5% credit commission on ad purchases, and 1% commission on each page surfed by a referral.

Next level doubles this plus gives a few hundred credits per month, and the top level upgrade offers 1:1, 40%, 15% and 5% plus thousands of credits every month.

GrannySue

If you choose to join this exchange, I'd be honored if you would use my link - Thanks!

Traffic Exchange REVIEW - Traffic Bunnies

Traffic Bunnies is a sweet little traffic exchange that gives you massive credits when you first sign up.

It is a simple site, bare bones, really, and easy to understand and work with. This is the very first exchange I ever became a member of.

As you surf, you will notice a bar in the upper right side of your screen, which shows you how close you are to your next bonus – which can be anything from credits to text links – but its usually credits.

Of course, just like at other exchanges, those credits can be converted to website views, text links, banner views, etc.

What They Offer Free Members

Traffic Bunnies allows you to post up to 3 websites at a time as a free member, more of course for upgraded accounts. They allow the same number of banners and text links as well.

One thing this site offers that some others do not – is the ability to use your credits to send a solo ad (solo ads are emails sent rather as you would through a safe-list).

While I've not noticed a ton of sign ups from the surfing hits I get here – their solo ads are phenomenally lucrative!! I have sent 2 email blasts through them, and both times I have gotten a great return for my effort.

At most other exchanges, this is a paid service – and if they do offer the option to exchange credits for mailings, the information is a lot harder to find... Traffic bunnies reminds you everywhere!

While this exchange is listed at TE Command Post, they are not part of the Commando Surf. You can get sign ups through their down-line builder though, and you can keep track of your credits through there as well.

They don't inundate your inbox. In fact, if they email you once a week that is a lot. Still, the administration is responsive. Its just that there's not a lot to talk about that you haven't already read through one of the exchanges that sends out more frequent mailings.

I LIKE THIS about Traffic Bunnies!! Don't email me just to remind me you are there... I appreciate their thoughtfulness about only sending me emails for really big news!

Other Considerations

As I said, this exchange is really quite simple to use, enjoyable to surf, and delivers solid traffic for the effort. However, I would build up credits and send mailings as often as I get enough in the account. The mailings are infinitely more effective.

The administration is above reproach – if you have a problem, they solve it. Period. They are quick at getting your mails approved and out to members as well.

Upgrade Options

The Traffic Bunnies upgrade is something I don't know a lot about. The page is a bit confusing, and really doesn't seem much different in benefit from other exchanges – other than – they offer discounts to purchased ads that I don't see in a lot of other places. The page can be a bit hard to find, too.

GrannySue

I would be honored, if you choose to join this exchange, if you would use my link - Thanks!

Traffic Bunnies

Traffic Exchange REVIEW - Traffic Splash

Traffic Splash has been very, very good to me!

This is the only traffic exchange where I have been an upgraded member in the three years I have been using them. It was worth the money – every penny of it!

(I am not currently an upgraded member here, but you can bet I will be doing that again right after the first of the year. I miss the traffic and sign-ups I was getting through this exchange!)

At one time, Traffic Splash was delivering more than 80% of my traffic, and I am an active member at more than 25 TE's. That is phenomenal.

What They Offer Free Members

Traffic Splash allows you to post up to 5 websites at a time as a free member, more of course for upgraded accounts. This includes a special rotator (most exchanges offer them) which shows all of your sites in rotation based on the credits you have assigned to it. They allow the same number of banners and text links as well.

If you're going to remain a free member, it is more effective to surf this (as well as the other three core exchanges) through Commando Surf at TE Command post. You'll get between 10% and 35% more credits per site surfed that way. Well worth it, and TEC is free, too.

They don't inundate your inbox. Usually there will be one email per day from these folks, and they are always informative. There is always a contest, a new bonus in the bonus pages, or some other promotion going on that will get you more credits toward your advertising.

It pays to at least check out these emails daily. Occasionally there is a super special promotion going for upgrading at a ridiculously low price. You'll want to know when that happens, as this is one exchange where I can 100% recommend the upgrade when you can afford it!

Other Considerations

Like I said, this is the ONLY exchange I have been an upgraded member at as of yet. Its almost difficult to use up the number of credits you get each month – and the traffic sent is responsive.

I have gotten sign-ups through Traffic Splash for affiliate products, other programs and to a newsletter I no longer run.

The surfers using this exchange are incredibly interested in just about everything that comes their way – and that can ONLY be a good thing!

Upgrade Options

As a free member, you have to surf 3 pages to earn 1 credit. However, their special membership offers you 1.5 surf to credit ratio, 10 websites to list, 35% commissions on upgrading referrals, and more.

The next level up gives you 8 rotators, 20 websites, and 50% commissions – and more.

Each level also gives you exponentially more credits automatically added to your account whether you surf or not.

The Pro-Annual Membership also offers you the chance to earn referrals at random from those who sign up without having been referred directly by members.

Traffic Splash offers several upgrade options, and always has something going on their OTO pages. Watch those emails for special deals on monthly and yearly upgrades!!

They also offer a ton of special offer packages – watch those, too.

Upgrading entitles you to a better surf-to-credit ratio, TONS of free credits automatically delivered every single month, and higher commissions on new referrals and upgraded referrals.

GrannySue

I would be especially honored, if you choose to join this exchange, if you would use my link to do so! Thanks!

Traffic Exchange REVIEW - Dragon Surf

Dragon Surf is a super exchange to join.

They deliver a ton of quality traffic, and are a lot of fun to surf. They are also always holding contests, and you can win everything from credits to cash. And its not just pennies – though cash bonuses will vary.

They have recently done a complete update – from graphics to script. I loved the old graphics – but the new site is exciting to play with, much better looking, and a lot better in many ways, from speed to navigation.

This is another of the core exchanges at TE Commando – offering extra credits for doing the Commando Surf.

What They Offer to Free Members

Dragon Surf allows you to enter up to 5 websites as a free member (including the rotator, which will alternately show each of your links with the credits assigned to it). They allow as many banners and text links, too.

They also offer a down-line builder, which allows you to enter your information for sites you already belong to – so that when you send a referral, they can sign up for the same sites all in one place – and you (of course) get the benefits from referring them to all the sites they join through your links.

This is responsive traffic, generally people will click through to your sites if your splash page is eye-catching.

If you have joined TE Commando, they offer between 10% and 35% more credits for your surfing, also free. This really adds up – I just assigned more than 1500 credits – and I have only surfed the exchange once in the past 4 months!!

Other Considerations

Dragon Surf sends about 3 - 5 emails per week unless there is a big promotion going on. They don't send every single day. Emails are always informative – and it pays to at least scan them when they do come in.

The upgrades are more than reasonable, and very effective. This is one traffic exchange where I can honestly recommend at least the minimal monthly upgrade.

Upgrade Options

The new upgrade options are phenomenal – especially if you don't have a lot of time to surf. Specials, due to the recent upgrade, are really great and well worth the money.

Their higher levels are about the same as the other major exchanges... both price and value wise.

GrannySue

As usual, I would be really grateful, if you choose to use this exchange, if you would use my link.

Traffic Exchanges - What They Are & How to Use Them

These critters exist to allow people to show their programs and offers to hundreds and thousands of people for little to no money.

Most traffic exchanges are free to join, and will offer you upgrade packages (usually every time you sign in!). They are a great way to get tons of traffic to a single site in near record time.

You earn advertising credits by visiting sites for a few seconds at a time (called “surfing”), and clicking an icon once the timer has run out, in order to show the next site. Normally for free members, you must view 1 – 4 sites for a traffic “credit.” These credits can be exchanged for “views” of your site (splash page), text link or banner. Rarely, you might be able to get a free email ad.

Most sites have pages that explain how much time free members must view ads, but there are no traffic exchanges that I know of that tell you how many you must view to stay listed as an active member. Your goal is to get your ad into the mix, so that others are also seeing it.

All exchanges work on “views” - how many times your ad was shown, and record “hits” - how many times someone clicked on your link.

The problem with traffic exchanges is that, while they send TONS of traffic (which can boost your search engine rank), it is rare that anyone actually takes advantage of your offer. Unless, that is, your offer is based on another traffic exchange or safelist service that they are not yet a member of.

I have made some money showing offers on these exchanges, but more money is to be made by sending people TO the exchanges. I am a member of a couple different programs that seem to do quite well on these sites – especially for newbies.

Most times, referrals are worth more free advertising credits as well as normally a dollar or so each. Of course, upgraded members are worth more, and more still if you have upgraded yourself, as you'll get a bigger percentage.

The main benefit to traffic exchanges are that they send so much FREE traffic to whatever link you are promoting.

If you have a blog or site that is in the “make money” field, or you are a member of a lot of exchanges, this is the place to go for traffic for those programs.

Other programs that do well on traffic exchanges are those that are super simple and easy to implement, with a promise of immediate pay outs – or at least fast pay outs. “Matrix” type programs are also great to advertise at these sites – if the number of ads is any indication.

I must confess – traffic exchanges are addictive. I absolutely love surfing some of the ones I belong to – and spend a lot of time doing so when I have unlimited internet. I am also a member of a particular site which allows bonus credits for surfing 4 – 6 of my top sites at the same time.

If you have the time to surf 100 or so pages at a time, these sites offer a lot of perks, but not overly many sign ups. I would suggest joining 4 or 5 of the top exchanges to get a feel for what its like to work with them, and then if you want to join more – that's fine. I am currently a member of more than 20, but I have my core 3 or 4 that I just love to work with – and that send the most reliable traffic to my links.

Fair word of warning – DO NOT spend a lot of time with this when you are just starting out!!! There are other free forms of advertising you should concentrate on first. Once those ads are in place, then spend some time surfing the traffic exchanges for the boost to your numbers and site visits.

Of course, as with my other posts, I would be ecstatic if you intend to join a few sites, to consider some of my top programs as your first ones.

So you know, just like with the safelists, you get a referral link as a part of your membership when you sign up to any traffic exchange. You (and I) will receive commissions and credits for every referral sent to the exchange through your personal link.

Traffic Splash - My absolute favorite! I was an upgraded member at this exchange for a while, and I intend to go back. They give high quality traffic, are fun to surf and offer lots of contests, rewards and bonus pages!

Fast Easy Traffic - Another of my top programs. Super fast surf times but you have to really watch for those bonus pages

Tezak Traffic Power - Nice site, with a nice upgrade, but I haven't taken advantage of it yet.

Dragon Surf - Another favorite, and I should note that these four sites allow you to earn bonus credits (see TE Command Post below). I loved the site before, but now they've upgraded their service and site, and its even better!! Nice upgrade here, too, but again, I have not taken advantage.

Traffic Bunnies - I have to say... I am loyal to this site for several reasons, not the least of which is that this is the very first traffic exchange I joined. Its a simple program - great to get your feet wet with! They are responsible for first commissions on several offers I have promoted, and have been really good to me. Conversions on their solo mailings are excellent! They offer a bonus page for every so many pages surfed, and there is a counter on the top right of the site that shows how far until your next bonus! I LOVE Traffic Bunnies!!!

If you join all of the above sites, you will also want to join the one below. TE Command post offers what they call "Commando Surf" where you get bonus credits for surfing  the first four programs listed above at the same time. It will log you in and keep track of your credits.

TE Command Post also offers other benefits... Be sure to click on all the nifty ways they can help you earn credits and make money!

TE Command Post

I'll be reviewing each exchange individually in a bit, but since these are my best-of-the-best programs, I figured I'd list them here to get you started.

As always, be sure to check the blog often! I'll be adding more of these programs in the future!

And be sure to leave a comment below if you would like to see me review a favorite site of your's or have any hints or tips!

Safe-Lists - Great Free Advertising!

Safelists are basically email advertising programs.

Much like traffic exchanges, you will be sending your ad to hundreds or thousands at the same time. Safelists are a tiny bit more complicated, though.

Rather than showing a “splash page” which is just a large graphic ad, you will be sending an email out with a link to a splash page. This gives you an opportunity to explain what the offer is before a person actually gets to a website.

Safelists work on the same principle as the exchanges. You will get an email, click on the link (usually it will tell you explicitly which link to click to get your credits!!! Watch for THAT link!). The link will take you to a site that you will be viewing for up to 30 seconds (usually more like 10, though).

After the site has been visible for the number of seconds required, the icons will be shown, and to get your credits you must click the correct one.

I currently work with about 10 safelists, but of course I have my favorites.

Usually, you will be able to send far fewer emails at a list than you would show splash pages at an exchange, but the click-through rate is much higher, and more people will investigate your offer than at an exchange. For the number of emails I send, I have seen more people become members of my offers through email advertising than through the exchanges.

Both types of site have their place, though.

My biggest problem with email safelists is that I have also JOINED a lot more programs!!! Try not to get distracted by these emails and fancy pages... We are dealing with professional advertisers, and so must be aware that we are going to want most everything we look at. You must keep your self discipline in gear.

Another thing you need to know is that every list you join is going to send you dozens of emails every single day. I have most of mine sent to my gmail account (even with the changes, I find it easier to deal with there). And I do mean dozens and I do mean every single day – 24/7/365 (yes, even Easter and Christmas!).

I am a very active member of 4 lists, 3 of which are sent to gmail. That account averages 300+ emails PER DAY, every day. It takes a couple hours to get through everything for all four lists, and then there are the GPT programs and survey sites to deal with. This can and will become more than a full time job if you are not careful – and until you are well known you will not be making full time income.

Keep yourself in line, and drop time-consuming things that do not pay well!!!

One more thing:

DO NOT fall for the slick promises, and always do your due diligence before joining anything you need to pay money for. Yes, you get what you pay for, but if you are hurting for money, don't be spending it in all the wrong places... Keep what you like in mind, and see if you still want it a month from now – after your bills are paid!

In the meantime, your creativity will be challenged in many ways coming up with text for your emails, but its well worth it in terms of both training yourself to sell and in gaining new members for your program or buyers for your offers.

Safelists are better performers than most traffic exchanges, but I would still concentrate on the free classifieds and free social media avenues first.

I have listed several safelist programs below that I am or have been a member of – which have done well for me. I have listed the best performers - my absolute favorites among the many I've joined.

There are dozens of these sites out there, but I'd be grateful if you'd join under my links to get started.

Please note two things:

1: You are automatically given an affiliate link when you sign up so that you can earn cash and credits by promoting the site.

2: Obviously, given the above, if you join through my link, I will receive compensation.

Email Hog  - this is one of my favorite sites... Every so many emails you get a link for cash earnings. Mostly one or two pennies in addition to the 15 points for clicking the credit link - but - sometimes those rewards are for $1 or $5!! You can also get text and banner link bonuses. I have cashed out twice, both time unexpectedly. Its amazing how fast these guys add up!

InstaBucks Mailz - OK, I admit it... I joined this one because I love the graphics. However, this is a stellar program and offers a ton of benefits! I have gotten quite a bit of traffic to different offers here, and there are tons of free ways to earn advertising credits. This site also allows you to purchase solo ads with your points instead of only selling them for cash.

List Joe - This is another one of my favorites. I don't join many of these sites because you wind up with 1000 emails every day. List Joe has been really good to me, and I've gotten a lot of sign ups.  They also allow you to send out more emails using points than other programs - 1000 at a time for my account.

I'll be reviewing these sites on separate posts, but if you have any comments, please post them here till I get the reviews up! THANKS!
